Barcelona

During the break, I had the incredible opportunity to travel to Spain, a truly enchanting country. One of the driving forces behind my desire to visit Spain was the fact that my dad's longtime friend, Juan, resides there, alongside my close friend Cam, who is currently on a study abroad program in the country.

While in Barcelona, I was graciously hosted by Juan. Unfortunately, Juan fell ill during my visit, preventing him from accompanying me on my explorations of Barcelona. Nevertheless, he provided me with invaluable recommendations on must-see attractions and activities in the city.

My second day in Spain marked my grand exploration venture. Juan's residence is nestled in Castelldefels, a charming coastal town, it is situated a brief 30-minute train ride away from the bustling heart of Barcelona. Prior to my journey, Juan suggested visiting iconic landmarks such as the Cathedral of Barcelona, La Sagrada de Familia, and a captivating lookout known as the bunkers. Of all the sites I visited, the bunkers left the most lasting impression. Perched atop a mountain, this historic vantage point offers a breathtaking panoramic view of Barcelona, complemented with a view of the La Sagrada de Familia church.
