Off to Amsterdam

En route to Amsterdam, I had an incredibly fortunate stroke of luck. By sheer coincidence, I found myself seated beside Lucas on the flight, the same individual with whom I had shared a bunk bed back at the hostel. Together, we embarked on our journey to Amsterdam, sharing in the serendipitous reunion. Upon arrival, Lucas and I parted ways, but not before capturing a final selfie to commemorate the improbable encounter.

Arriving in Amsterdam amidst a rain-soaked delay, I opted for a low-key first day, seeking refuge in the comfort of Jamaican cuisine, which proved to be an exceptional choice. The following day, I fulfilled a long-standing desire to explore the Heineken tour. As a resident of Hawaii, where Heineken enjoys considerable popularity, this tour had been on my radar for some time. It proved to be an engaging experience, complete with captivating light shows, interactive games, and, of course, ample opportunities to sample the iconic beer.

On my last day in Amsterdam, I made my way to the renowned tulip festival, having heard glowing reviews from fellow travelers. True to its reputation, the festival was a breathtaking spectacle. I spent a leisurely two hours wandering amidst the vibrant blooms, marveling at the exquisite beauty of the rare tulip varieties on display. It was a genuine delight to behold such a remarkable array of tulips.
